House CFO — Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 19, 2026
House CFO is a private household budgeting assistant operated by an individual (a sole proprietor)
for use within a single family. It sends short budgeting reminders by text message to the household
members who enroll. This policy explains what information the service handles and how it is used.
Information we collect
- The mobile phone numbers of the household members who personally enroll in the service.
- The text messages those members send to and receive from the service.
- Spending and transaction information from the household's own linked financial accounts,
accessed through the household's account-aggregation provider (Lunch Money and Plaid), used
only to calculate budgeting figures such as the daily "safe to spend" amount.
How we use information
Information is used solely to generate and deliver budgeting notifications — daily
safe-to-spend amounts, same-day over-budget alerts, and a weekly budget summary — to the
enrolled members of the household. It is not used for any other purpose.
How we share information
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own
purposes.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or
promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with
any third party.
- Text messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging provider, only to transmit them to
you.
- Financial-account aggregation is provided by Lunch Money and Plaid under their own privacy
policies.
Data retention and security
Information is kept only as long as needed to operate the service, and reasonable measures are
used to protect it.
Your choices
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.
